NZLT Laser Safety Briefing for the Laser Safety Workplace
This foundational online course introduces the key principles of laser safety, including laser classifications, risks, and protective measures. It’s ideal for anyone in a workplace where lasers are used—even if you're not directly operating them, and helps users gain essential hazard awareness for working with or around lasers in industrial and commercial environments.
Pre-requisites: No pre-requisites - open entry for any industrial laser application or laser workplace
Recommended for: Open entry for any industrial laser application or laser workplace requiring only laser safety awareness training.
If you are looking to work with Class 3B or Class 4 lasers in a high-risk work environment, we recommend our Safe Use of Lasers in the Workplace course.
Cost: $60 + GST per person - includes an Electronic Certificate to the person as documented acknowledgement confirming participation and learning upon completion of the short module series. This may be useful for WorkSafe NZ, a Workplace Health & Safety Inspector, or as documented evidence of attendance for the team members' laser safety awareness.
Study method: Approximately 10 minutes or complete over 1 - 2 hours . Self-guided online learning with access 24/7, over a 2 week period. Start anytime and study anywhere with our online interactive platform. If you cannot complete it within the 2 weeks, apply for a free 2-week extension.
