NZLT Intense Light Source Safety Programme for Dry Eye Procedures

This IPL safety programme has been specifically designed to apply to the dry eye procedure, and provides approved continuing medical education for professional development for which allocation of CME points may apply.   

The programme references Australian and New Zealand safety standard ' Safe use of lasers and intense light sources in Health Care' AS/ NZS 4173: 2018.

Optometrists and Ophthalmologists undertaking the Dry Eye IPL procedure, should obtain full training in how to operate their device, this educational programme will assist in the awareness of risks to them as operators, and risks posed to the patient. 

Pre-requisites: Open entry for the Optometry and Ophthalmology Industry

Recommended for: Optometrists and Ophthalmologists

Cost: $399 + GST per person - includes Certificate and Letter of Attendance and 1.2 CPD points allocation towards your NZLT Institute Diploma or Registration Status.  Learners are provided with a basic downloadable PDF handout to record their own notes.

Study method: Approximately 10 -12 hours of self-guided online learning with access 24/7, over a 6 week period - complete in a day or over the 6 week period.  Start anytime, study anywhere with our online interactive platform. If you are unable to complete within the 6 weeks: 1st apply for a 2 week extension if required before or on expiry date - No charge, 2nd extension for for 7 days at a cost of $100 + GST to cover admin, 3rd extension for for 7 days at a cost of $100 + GST to cover admin
